|概況

香港中文大學(xué)（The Chinese University of Hong Kong），簡(jiǎn)稱港中大（CUHK），書(shū)院聯(lián)邦制大學(xué)建制，為世界大學(xué)聯(lián)盟成員、亞洲首家國(guó)際商學(xué)院協(xié)會(huì)（AACSB）認(rèn)證成員、亞太國(guó)際教育協(xié)會(huì)創(chuàng)始成員、中國(guó)大學(xué)校長(zhǎng)聯(lián)誼會(huì)成員、英聯(lián)邦大學(xué)協(xié)會(huì)成員，是一所以“中國(guó)研究”、“生物醫(yī)學(xué)科學(xué)”、“信息科學(xué)”、“經(jīng)濟(jì)與金融”、“地球信息與地球科學(xué)”為五大重點(diǎn)研究領(lǐng)域的公立研究型綜合大學(xué)，并在這些領(lǐng)域堪稱世界級(jí)學(xué)術(shù)重鎮(zhèn)。

香港中文大學(xué)由三所中文專上學(xué)院（新亞書(shū)院、崇基學(xué)院、聯(lián)合書(shū)院）于1963年合并組成；1966年，成立香港首所研究院；1986年，全面檢討課程結(jié)構(gòu)，改用學(xué)分制，并加強(qiáng)通識(shí)教育；2013年，中大金禧校慶。

香港中文大學(xué)的創(chuàng)立打破了大英帝國(guó)殖民地近五百年來(lái)只允許一所高等學(xué)府存在的鐵律，是20世紀(jì)亞洲地區(qū)“非殖民化”的表征之一。中大的出現(xiàn)掀起了香港七十年代的“中文運(yùn)動(dòng)”，成功終結(jié)了英文壟斷官方語(yǔ)言地位的局面，具有一定的時(shí)代意義。

作為香港乃至亞洲首屈一指的高等學(xué)府和當(dāng)代新儒家的主要陣地，中大先后聚集了錢穆、唐君毅、牟宗三、林語(yǔ)堂、勞思光、胡秀英、劉殿爵、高錕、楊振寧、莫里斯、饒宗頤、余光中等一大批學(xué)術(shù)巨匠，培養(yǎng)了以史學(xué)家余英時(shí)、數(shù)學(xué)家丘成桐、銀行家鄭海泉等為代表的各界杰出人才。

|地理位置

香港中文大學(xué)面臨吐露港，依山傍海，樹(shù)木鳥(niǎo)類繁多，人文氣息濃郁，被譽(yù)為亞洲最美的大學(xué)校園之一。

 

學(xué)校位于沙田西北隅，不但兼擁海山勝景，交通也極為便捷，坐火車從九龍到中大只需三十分鐘，從羅湖邊境則只需二十分鐘。校園占地一百三十七點(diǎn)三公頃，是香港最大最秀逸者。中大依山而建，從山頂?shù)缴侥_，由高至低可分成三層，經(jīng)過(guò)幾十年的經(jīng)營(yíng)，處處花木扶疏，中西風(fēng)格的建筑掩映于其間。中大也是許多鳥(niǎo)獸蟲(chóng)魚(yú)的棲息地，校方也竭力保護(hù)校園生態(tài)。俯瞰吐露港、遠(yuǎn)眺八仙嶺的中大校園，是山與海的協(xié)奏曲，給予詩(shī)人靈感，賦詩(shī)歌頌它的和諧景致以及當(dāng)中的翰墨因緣。

中大校園宜漫步宜健行，徜徉于其間，可遠(yuǎn)觀飛鳥(niǎo)，近賞花樹(shù)。行于校園內(nèi)的人行步道，如山陰道上行，從大學(xué)鐵路站起步，以任何一所書(shū)院為終點(diǎn)，信步而上，會(huì)途經(jīng)清雅的荷塘、蒼郁的老樹(shù)、翠瓦丹柱的亭臺(tái)、兩側(cè)樹(shù)木成行的大道、幽靜的庭院、芳馨襲人的中藥園、著名的雕塑、得獎(jiǎng)的建筑，以及其他或人工或天然的景物，使人應(yīng)接不暇。凡此種種，都令中文大學(xué)成為潛心治學(xué)、培養(yǎng)德行才干的好地方。

中大是全港唯一實(shí)行書(shū)院制的大學(xué)。所有中大全日制本科生都可選擇一所書(shū)院，成為該院的一分子。每所書(shū)院都是獨(dú)樹(shù)一幟的，有各自的文化，但匯聚在一起，卻塑造了中文大學(xué)的精神面貌。
