|地理位置

謝菲爾德市位于英國中心位置，搭乘火車2小時可抵達倫敦，1小時抵達曼徹斯特、利茲、諾丁漢等其他主要城市。謝菲爾德是充滿活力、多元的現代化城市，是全英第四大城市。三分之一的城市土地位于國家公園峰區(qū)內，還有超過250處公園與林地，綠化率水平全球最高(61%)。

|學校歷史

謝菲爾德大學歷史悠久，其校史最早可追溯至 1828年謝菲爾德醫(yī)學院成立之時。大學由三所當地學院合并而成：謝菲爾德醫(yī)學院、福斯學院及謝菲爾德技術學院。1905年謝菲爾德大學獲得英國皇家憲章(Royal Charter)的認可，當時的英國國王愛德華七世及皇后親自來到謝菲爾德大學為新的福斯樓(Firth Court)的啟用舉行剪彩儀式。

1905年謝菲爾德大學建校時有114名學生，經過一個世紀的發(fā)展，大學現有來自全球的三萬余名在讀學生。

|學校特色

謝菲爾德大學有五大學部：藝術與人文、工程、健康、理學、社會科學，下設35個學院和科系，提供廣泛的專業(yè)選擇。

  • 藝術與人文學部提供跨專業(yè)組合學習的選擇。廣闊的興趣方向為學生提供獨特的多專業(yè)領域研究機會。
  • 工程學部是英國最大的工程學研究與教學的提供者之一，下設七個院系與三個跨學科項目，涵蓋了所有工程學領域。我們與業(yè)界知名公司建立了非常緊密的合作關系，包括西門子，波音，勞斯萊克，空客等，以及本地企業(yè)。這意味著學院的研究問題都具有著實際應用的意義。工程學部具有影響力的研究及科研引領下的教學享有極高聲譽。
  • 健康學部自1828年起一直提供出色的臨床教學與研究，是英國最主要的健康及相關學科的教育與研究中心之一。

|學校設施
