Our four-year MEng Civil Engineering is identical to the BEng for the first three years. This programme combines the study of criminology with the study of psychology and allows you to explore the unique aspects of two complementary subjects whose practitioners increasingly share ideas, approaches and research interests. The programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society.

The aim of the BSc in Quantitative Social Science is to provide students with a broad understanding of the social world alongside a rigorous training in quantitative techniques and data analysis skills. Students will be given advanced quantitative methods training alongside data management and interpretation competences that will be attractive to a wide range of employers in the public, private, charitable and academic sectors. These skills will be set in the context of a wide range of social science topics, focused around politics, international relations, sociology, social policy, criminology and demography. Therefore students will complete the degree understanding about both theoretical and practical aspects of social science.

Where AS Level Mathematics is not available for study then a Grade B in A Level Mathematics is required. Alternatively, a Grade B in A Level Physics or Statistics can also be accepted in lieu of a Grade B in AS Level Mathematics.Applicants taking the Extended Project (EPQ) will also be made an alternative offer one grade below the standard offer, conditional on an A grade in the EPQ.Successful candidates with A Level Philosophy, English, Religious Studies, Classical Civilisation, Sociology or Government and Politics will receive an offer of ABB. Successful candidates without an A Level in these subjects will usually receive an offer of AAB.
