眾所周知，那些排名比較靠前的英國(guó)大學(xué)一向很傲嬌，語(yǔ)言、成績(jī)、學(xué)術(shù)背景什么的要求很嚴(yán)格：你的均分有84.5，距離那些牛校的要求85只差那么一點(diǎn)點(diǎn);IELTS總成績(jī)夠了，單項(xiàng)就少了那么0.5分，遇見(jiàn)這種尷尬的情況，學(xué)校也會(huì)毫不留情地給你發(fā)conditional offer甚至是拒信，那么，拿到conditional offer或拒信的小伙伴，該怎么跟學(xué)校argue?

嗯，有些小伙伴們通過(guò)argue成功拿到了unconditional offer，想學(xué)習(xí)怎么跟英國(guó)大學(xué)argue?下面就和你說(shuō)說(shuō)argue的事。

首先，要搞清楚自己為什么會(huì)收到conoffer or rejection，最常見(jiàn)的conditional offer有兩種：語(yǔ)言和成績(jī)

con 語(yǔ)言

雖然你的academic conditions夠了，但語(yǔ)言成績(jī)還沒(méi)有出來(lái)，或者你的語(yǔ)言成績(jī)分?jǐn)?shù)沒(méi)有達(dá)到要求，那么學(xué)?？赡軙?huì)給你發(fā)con offer，你可以argue的理由：

1.在天朝，IELTS考試報(bào)名相當(dāng)不容易，尤其是在IELTS考試高峰期的時(shí)候，考位不太容易預(yù)約，之前某次成績(jī)不甚理想，所以報(bào)名參加了不久之后的考試，預(yù)計(jì)成績(jī)會(huì)在X分(這個(gè)分?jǐn)?shù)要根據(jù)自己的實(shí)力來(lái)評(píng)估，不能過(guò)分夸大)，分?jǐn)?shù)出來(lái)就立刻給學(xué)校發(fā)過(guò)去;

2. 考了2-3次IELTS，總分夠了，但是總有個(gè)別單項(xiàng)沒(méi)有達(dá)到要求，希望學(xué)校能夠綜合看待這幾次IELTS成績(jī);

3. IELTS總分超過(guò)了要求，但只有一項(xiàng)小分差0.5(這種情況有argue成功的案例);

4. 雖然目前IELTS成績(jī)不夠，但口語(yǔ)很好，如果可以，學(xué)校給一個(gè)電話面試的機(jī)會(huì)。(當(dāng)然這個(gè)就需要你的口語(yǔ)非常棒);

5. 有過(guò)英語(yǔ)授課的學(xué)歷，比如2+2、3+2留學(xué)項(xiàng)目

Con語(yǔ)言的argue范文：

Dear XX,

I felt so happy when I got the offer of computer science in Faculty of Engineering yesterday. My name is XX,and my application number is XX. It's a great honour for me to get a chance to study in the XX.

Few months ago, I promised you that I could get 7 and took the exam in Jan. A few days before our Chinese New year, everyone went back home to enjoy their family reunion time except me. To pursuit and realize my dream and honor my promise, I had to study in the cold and empty classroom day after day without anyone. So many tears and the sweat on my jack that I choose never looking back, I had to put up with low temperature and lonely atmosphere and I missed my parents, who had already prepared great dinners in the warm house( but far away) waiting for me.

However, thanks to God, I got 7 finally and I am very happy, because my hardworking has been rewarded.

The last time I took IELTS, I scored 6.0 in speaking thus I am I quite sure of my spoken English. The problem here is,before the pre-sessional English Courses, I have no chance to prove my spoken English in another IELTS, rendering me in such paradox.

It unfolds that my listening and reading skills are very stable, there is no need for me to take lessons concerning onthese. It is unfair to me as well as goes against the fact. All that I need toimprove is my oral English.

Such is the tough situation I am in, I sincerely request your permission that my condition be taken into consideration and the restrictions of language proficiency be loosen a bit.

一般來(lái)說(shuō)，如果你的均分和學(xué)校要求相差2分之內(nèi)都不需要argue，英國(guó)大學(xué)不會(huì)摳那么仔細(xì)，畢竟算分方式不同，得出來(lái)的平均分也不盡相同。

如果真的因?yàn)槌煽?jī)拿到con offer，有兩種選擇：1)收到conoffer馬上去argue;2)先接受con offer，畢業(yè)的時(shí)候換uncon再argue

通常來(lái)說(shuō)，第二種選擇成功的幾率比較大一些，你可以argue的理由：

1. 雖然綜合均分沒(méi)有達(dá)到要求，但專業(yè)課分?jǐn)?shù)高于學(xué)校要求;

2. 本科第四年的成績(jī)進(jìn)步比較大;

3. 最后一年的成績(jī)沒(méi)有發(fā)揮好;

4. 本科學(xué)校專業(yè)比較牛掰;

5. 在天朝，論文所占比重不大，想要提高均分很難;

6. 老師對(duì)畢業(yè)論文的評(píng)價(jià)很高;

7. 論文期間，還發(fā)表了專業(yè)相關(guān)的paper

Con成績(jī)的argue范文：

Dear XXX,

My name is XX and I'm an conditional offer holder of MPhil in Finance and Economics. I'm writing to petition for my admission. Recently the 3rd year final exam results came out and I got 68% weighted average, which means that I have closely failed the condition(70%).

In the first two years my scores were 83% and 80%. I did not perform my best during 3rd year because of an unexpected accident XXX. I was honestly depressed and distracted during my revision time, and this adversely influenced my academic performance. My comparatively poor marks during third year are not indicative of my academic potential.

Since my original submission in February, I have successfully passed the exam of level 1 Chartered Financial Analyst exam, and I have been preparing the exam of Level 2 CFA, and learning C language for my further study in financial engineering. I believe my application has strengthened significantly, and my passion for the subject will make a contribution to the University of Cambridge's academic environment.

不幸收到拒信的孩紙們，也要想方設(shè)法知道自己被拒的原因，然后才能知道怎么去argue，通常突破口有：專業(yè)成績(jī)，語(yǔ)言，學(xué)校背景，課外活動(dòng)，學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)，實(shí)習(xí)經(jīng)驗(yàn)等等。

總之就是：如果你有什么真材實(shí)料，哪方面比較突出，直接說(shuō)出來(lái)，自我謙虛什么的，在傲嬌的英國(guó)大學(xué)面前根本不起作用，當(dāng)然也不要過(guò)分吹噓，吹過(guò)頭了那叫作假，英國(guó)大學(xué)對(duì)這方面一律零容忍。
