    To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have— (a) a relevant bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; or (b) a three-year teaching qualification from a recognised teacher training institution.
    There are six semester length units and a major paper, the latter representing 25 percent of the course requirements. Most classes are scheduled after school hours. Each unit consists of 25 hours per semester. A variety of assessment methods are used. The most common pattern includes seminar presentation and/or assignments to a total of 5000-6000 words per unit.

    This postgraduate course includes subject areas such as exploration and production of minerals and petroleum in Australia, native title, concepts of sustainability and social licence to operate as well as other broad policy objectives. Coverage of the general principles of oil and gas law, together with the legislation and agreements relevant to commercialisation and infrastructure, are supplemented by case studies based on real-life situations. The course consists of four coursework units (24 points) and articulates with the Master of Mining and Energy Law.

    Students will gain clinical experience through sleep laboratory visits, clinical exercises and clinical observations during their course. The Certificate is delivered in part-time intensive blocks and tailored to suit the schedules of busy people. The Graduate Certificate in Social Impact is offered through the Centre for Social Impact at the UWA Business School.
