As a student in the master's component of the course, you are prepared for teaching in specific areas of the school curriculum. In the final year, you may have the opportunity to experience teaching practice in a regional or remote setting in Western Australia, or to specialise in a chosen aspect of secondary education.

The Master of Physics consists of an equal combination of advanced coursework and a research project and dissertation. The research project is undertaken as part of an internationally recognised research group.
In the Astronomy and Astrophysics specialisation, you will undertake a research project on an appropriate astronomy-related topic that will develop your independent research and analytical abilities and expose them to current techniques and technologies in their field of research.

This course provides an opportunity for graduates to obtain a qualification that is recognised by professional accounting bodies and the wider business community.

This course provides a foundation in the research discipline of epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics and health promotion, as well as the broader social context in which public health programs are planned, delivered and evaluated.
It also provides an opportunity for the student to undertake a period of supervised practice within a public health context.

This course provides an in-depth knowledge of the patho-physiological basis of disease. While developing proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques and expertise in the logical use and interpretation of laboratory tests, students also acquire knowledge of the clinical utility and scientific basis of laboratory tests and the statistical tools for assessment of their value and reliability.
